In the twelve months of the year, this full moon is such that body, mind and wealth are best for all three. On this full moon when the rays of the moon rain with nectar, Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth, comes out at night to see who is awake and she makes her devoted devotees full of wealth.

🌏 Sharad Purnima also has a name * Kojagari Purnima * i.e. Lakshmi ji asks- Who is awake? On the full moon of the month of Ashwini, the moon is in the Ashwini nakshatra, hence the name of this month is Ashwini.

27 It is the first among the 27 Nakshatras in which Moon travels in a month and the full moon of Ashwin Nakshatra gives health.

Only on Sharad Purnima, Moon is complete with its sixteen arts and is also the closest to Earth. This full moon pours nectar on the moon’s rays.

🌏 Ayurvadacharya waits for this full moon all year round. He keeps the curative herbs in the moonlight of Sharad Purnima. When medicine is made from these herbs bathed with nectar, it immediately affects the patient.

🌓 Moon has been considered similar to mind in Vedas-Puranas- * Moon Manaso Jat: * In Vayu Purana, Moon has been described as a factor of water. In ancient texts, the moon has been called the practitioner of medicine.

Eating Kheer kept in the cool moonlight of Sharad Purnima eliminates all the diseases of the body. In the month of Jyeshtha, Ashadh, Sawan and Bhadrapada, the accumulation of bile in the body, eating kheer kept in the moonlight moonlight of Sharad Purnima brings out the bile.

🌓 But this kheer is made by a special method. After keeping it in the moonlight all night, eating this kheer on an empty stomach in the morning eliminates all diseases, the body is healthy.

🌏 Sharad Purnima is also called Ras Purnima. This full moon itself is associated with sixteen arts of Lord Krishna. On this night Shri Krishna Maharas with his Radha Rani and other Sakhis is composed.

Om says that when Lord Krishna was creating Maharas in Vrindavan, the moon was watching from the sky and he was so excited that he started showering nectar on the earth with his coolness.

On Sharad Purnima in Gujarat, people make ras and play garba. Sri Krishna devotees also create ras in Manipur. In West Bengal and Odisha, on the night of Sharad Purnima, Mahalakshmi is worshiped with rituals. It is believed that those who worship Mahalakshmi on this full moon day and stay awake all night have their wishes fulfilled.

Sharad Purnima is celebrated in Odisha as Kumar Purnima. Kartikeya, son of Addev Mahadev and Goddess Parvati, was born on this full moon day. Gaur varna, the attractive, beautiful Kartikeya is worshiped by virgin girls to have a husband like her.

🌏 Sharad Purnima falls in such a month, when the rainy season is at the last minute. Autumn is in its childhood and Hemant season has started and Kartik bath starts from this full moon.
